My intermediate workshops are designed to help you continue building confidence and skill in warm glass. We’ll refine your glass-cutting techniques (it truly is a case of practice makes perfect!), and you’ll begin working on projects of your choice – whether it’s something special for yourself or a thoughtful handmade gift.
There are countless possibilities to explore. Following my KISS approach – “Keep It Simple” – you’ll discover that clean, considered designs often create the most striking results. You can make something decorative or practical, designed or abstract, free-standing, set in wood, hung on a wall, or even something for the garden. The options really are endless.
By now, you’ll have seen the magic of the kiln from your taster session – the way it softens sharp edges and transforms your pre-fired glass into a finished piece.
To make the most of your workshop time, I recommend doing a little preparation beforehand. Try sketching a simple idea, think about colours and sizes, and keep in mind that bowls or waves must fit the moulds available, which come in specific dimensions.
Come ready with your ideas, and enjoy three creative, immersive hours bringing them to life.
Intermediate Workshop
Once you’ve completed a Taster Workshop, you’re welcome to join my follow-on sessions, where we build on your foundations and explore new techniques together. These workshops are designed to help you grow in confidence, develop your skills, and bring more ambitious ideas to life.
Please note: These sessions are not suitable for complete beginners. If you’re new to glass, please sign up for my Taster Workshop.
